Qing obtained a BA in English Language and Literature from the China University of Geosciences in Beijing before completing an MA in Translation Studies at the University of Manchester. She previously worked for an American consulting company involved in academic research between the US and China and has also worked as an editor in a US production company which acted on behalf of NBC. More recently, she worked as part of a team for the United Nations World Food Program in Beijing.  Qing has also acquired vast experience as an interpreter in the UK, where she worked for the British National Health Service, the Crown and Magistrates Courts and in governmental and business meetings.
